Taylor Walks!!!!!

Listen for Teddy's "uh-oh" when Taylor smacks him in the head with her CD player as he crawls past.

Happy Halloween!

We have some SUPER exciting news! Taylor can WALK!!!! She has been taking 2-3 steps here and there for about 2 weeks now, but today she has been walking like crazy. She still prefers to crawl, but we have never seen her try this hard. The video is uploading. While you wait, here are some cute pictures from the pumpkin patch that we went to on Columbus Day when Daddy had the day off.

Bubbe and Taylor go for a walk.

Taylor is getting very close to walking. She took a few steps yesterday!! She was holding a toy hockey stick in one hand (dad was SO proud) and a plastic turtle in the other hand. I think the key is to keep both hands busy so she forgets that she has to hold onto something.

Anyhow, I recently uploaded a new video to YouTube from Bubbe's visit a couple weeks ago. Here she is taking Taylor into Sak's to show her some of the finer things in life.

Notice anything new?

I've been playing around with the background and I think that I found one that I really like. What do you think? I'm still searching for an updated picture that I can use for the top.

I wanted to post some more pictures from the summer...

Here we are playing with cousin Joely. She introduced us to the deliciously wonderful Baby Mum Mums (also known as baby crack).

Here's Taylor and cousin Dylan hanging out on the swing with their moms.

You may have seen this picture on Dylan's blog. Halloween came early this year.

More fun with cousins... Daniel and Andrew are dressed just like the twins!

Teddy & Taylor LOVED swimming in the lake in their floating ducks.

Here we are watching Elmo for the first time. We were wildly fascinated... for about 10 minutes.

Peek-a-boo! I see you!

Time flies when you're having fun!

I can't believe the summer is almost over. I am a bit behind in my blogging, so I will try to post more often. We have so many cute pictures of the babies from this summer. Here is just one of many.

The babies are now 14 months old! Nobody is walking yet, but they are both very good at standing. The last doctor's appointment was in August. Teddy weighed in at 18lbs, 3oz, and Taylor weighed in at 19lbs, 12oz. Teddy measured 27.5" and Taylor was 29".

He we are having some snacks in the doctor's office while we waited for the doctor.

Standing Milestones

Both Teddy and Taylor reached some standing milestones today. Taylor stood without ANY support for a good 10-20 seconds. It's probably only a matter of weeks until she walks! Meanwhile, Teddy finally learned how to pull himself up to standing. We were so proud of him. I tried to get a video, but he kept stopping every time I took the camera out. I finally got something, but it does not show his full ability. He can pull up and stay up. Check it out:

Birthday Pictures & Video

I finally uploaded some pictures for the blog from Teddy and Taylor's first birthday party. This first one shows the lovely decorations that we purchased from the oh-so-fancy dollar store in Orillia. Bubbe made a fabulous lunch.

Here's the cake. YUM!

Teddy is waiting patiently for his cake and shaking a box of Smarties:

Taylor LOVED the cake. However, she did not love her party hat. This is why she is pictured sans hat. She had a pink one that matched Teddy's. I think Zippy got a picture of Taylor in the hat with his SLR camera, but I was too slow.

Here we have the video of the cake eating. Notice the two very different personalities:

After cake we opened presents. They liked the super cute pajamas...

...but the toys were even better!

After the party they were both wiped out and they needed a little booby snack from mommy. This is the first picture I have taken of them tandem nursing that is appropriate to share with the blogging world. No booby parts are shown, but isn't it the cutest?
