Taylor the pacifier thief.

First, let me get you up to speed with where we are. The twins are just one week shy of their 7 month birthday. Nine days ago, Taylor weighed in at 14lbs 9oz and 25 3/4 inches long. Teddy weighed in at 14lbs 12oz and 25 1/4 inches long. This marked the first time that Teddy has weighed more than Taylor! Taylor would like me to point out that she is still taller.

They both love to squeal and coo, but they are just getting started with consonants. We have the occasional "a-goo" and some "nay-nay"s, but that's about it. We also started eating solids a couple weeks ago. After a scary allergic reaction from Taylor, we skipped cereal and went right into sweet potatoes. We are buying organic and making the food ourselves. Taylor loves to eat and she eagerly opens her mouth for every bite. With Teddy, you kind of have to trick him into opening his mouth and then just shove the food in. He will swallow, but he isn't nearly as excited as his sister.

Taylor has been flipping and rolling since she was 3 months old while Teddy was content to lie on his back and flap his arms and legs. Teddy finally flipped at 6 months, but he still prefers to lie and flap most of the time. All that flapping must be great exercise because now he can stand with support. They both love to grab at everything in sight and often try to taste everything they grab. Taylor grabs a little more than Teddy, which often results in toy hoarding and pacifier stealing. We're thinking maybe Teddy needs some self defense classes.

He sounds a little frustrated, don't you think?

And so the blogging begins...

As Teddy and Taylor dream their little baby dreams, mommy begins her blog. I hope that this blog will be a fun way keep family and friends updated on the twins. Let the fun begin!
