The twins debut on YouTube.

Victor made this video back in September, but I recently decided that it was OK to share it with the world on YouTube. I think he did a fantastic job. The footage of me at the beginning was actually shot on the day that I went into labor. We had just purchased the video camera and we were trying it out. Little did we know that a few hours later we'd be in the hospital. The music in the video is The Greatest Reward, by Celine Dion. Listen for the hiccups (in stereo) when the babies are both in the same hospital bassinet (we called it an aquarium) towards the end of the video. Enjoy!

Erev Birthday

Today is sandwiched in between two very important days. Yesterday, Valentine's Day, was the fifth anniversary of the day that Victor and I met. Tomorrow is Victor's birthday. It's also a great day for me to give a quick update.

We're now eating sweet potatoes, bananas, and apple sauce. On Wednesday, Taylor started saying "dada," which is by no means her first word. It's just some really cute babbling. Today, Teddy joined in with some "gaga"s. Taylor also taught herself how to drink with a straw. She blew some bubbles, drank some water, and spit most of it out. It's pretty cute.

Teddy and Taylor's new cousin arrived on February 11th. Welcome baby Jesin! We all can't wait to meet him and we hope that he is letting his parents sleep a little bit.

Teddy and Taylor dressed up for V-day and posed for some pictures. Here is one with Daddy:

Here we have Teddy "kissing" Taylor:

Right now Teddy and Taylor are talking to each other in the crib (they are supposed to be sleeping). Teddy just busted out a loud ga-ga-di-da-di-da-ga-ga! He must have told a great joke in baby talk because Taylor squealed in delight.

Happy 7 month birthday!

I can't believe that it's been 7 months already. The video speaks for itself...

Not much else went on this week. Victor and I are still trying to sell our apartment so that we can move somewhere with more space. It would be nice if the babies had their own room(s) before they realize that they are sleeping in the kitchen.

Here's a picture from Wednesday of Teddy showing off his standing for Taylor and Shirley:

Our first professional pictures.

Back in December, we took the babies to Sears for their first photo shoot. Auntie Melanie really wanted a picture of all the cousins, but the babies reached their limit after their individual shoots. We didn't even get a shot of the twins together by themselves. By some miracle, we did manage to get a shot of everyone together. Melanie just sent me scans of the pictures, so here they are.

Here is everyone together:

Just the four of us:

I'm having trouble uploading more images, so I'll try to get the others up later. They are SUPER cute (and a little x-rated). Right now the babies are enjoying their first Super Bowl. Go Giants!

Check out our crib... literally.

You may be wondering how we all fit into our spacious 700 square foot one-bedroom apartment. Not many people have to buy baby furniture that matches the kitchen cabinets. Teddy and Taylor still share a crib. In order to make this arrangement last longer, we have placed the large stuffed worm between them at night. This keeps them from rolling on top of each other... sometimes.

Teddy discovers sweet potatoes.

OK, so he didn't really "discover" sweet potatoes today because I've been feeding them to him since last weekend. However, today he discovered that he REALLY likes them. He grunted and squealed with delight at the sight of every spoonful. After he ate, he passed out from all the excitement.
