Rub a dub dub, babies in the tub!

First the big news - Taylor can crawl! She has a tough time on the wood floors, but she's a pro in her crib and on our bed. I'm working on getting a good video, so stay tuned.

Teddy has a new trick. I think it's called blowing raspberries? Well, see for yourself. It's very quick. He was mesmerized by the camera and mommy isn't too good at sneaking up on the wildlife in their natural habitat.

On Wednesday, the twins stopped sharing a crib. Taylor is too mobile now and she can't keep her hands off of her brother. She likes to rip the pacifier out of his mouth while he is sleeping. She also likes to grab his face. Teddy, as you can imagine, is not a fan of this behavior. We will not be getting a second crib until we move, so we are using the pack-n-play. Here is Taylor sequestered in her new cage. She loves to look through the mesh.

Over the weekend, the babies got to take baths in the big tub with daddy. They LOVED splashing in the water. We can't wait until the summer when they can go swimming for real! Can you tell who is who? Hint: If you haven't noticed before, they have different eye colors.

Fishing for Trouble

Victor has been at it again! Here is his latest iMovie masterpiece:

Teddy is getting very good at sitting all by himself. We hang out on the bed a lot so if he falls he doesn't hurt himself.

Taylor wanted to show Teddy up so she tried her luck at standing:

Last week we added a new food to the twins' diet... PEAS! They went over surprisingly well. Taylor will eat anything with a smile, but Teddy doesn't often get excited over food. He really seemed to enjoy the peas. See if you can notice what's "odd" about these pictures.

Give up?

They are wearing each other's bibs. Teddy loves pink.

Eight months old!!!

Last night Teddy and Daddy fell asleep on the couch together. They were both very excited about the big "8 months" and they wanted to be sure to get a good night's sleep.

Taylor woke up very excited for the big day. Here she is sitting up in her crib all by herself (she had a little help getting to that position):

Then we decided to take a couple videos of the babies to commemorate this special day. Teddy has started to bounce around in the exersaucer. He really loves it in there:

Taylor learned a new word today! I'd like to think this is a "real" word, but it's not. It's still super cute. She has been saying it all day long.

The Spoon

I have some catching up to do. The twins are learning new tricks every day! Taylor can get up on all fours and wiggle her butt back and forth. She is very close to crawling. Teddy isn't quite there yet, but he is an expert roller and flapper. On Victor's birthday, I wanted to take some pictures of Taylor wearing a dress that I wore when I was a baby. The photo shoot was particularly difficult because all Taylor wanted to do was eat the dress. You can always click the pictures for a larger version.

The next day, we had a play date with Rachel and Brayden. Teddy loved Rachel's toys. He's doing much better sitting by himself (with a little help from the boppy).

Bubbe came to visit us last week. To celebrate, we went to one of our favorite restaurants - Café La Fenice. Taylor LOVED playing with the big spoon in the restaurant. Teddy enjoyed the spoon too, but he wasn't nuts about it like Taylor was. Taylor also sat in a high chair for the first time.

When it was time to leave, Taylor cried her little eyes out when we tried to take the spoon away from her. The hostess felt bad and she told Taylor that she could keep the spoon. Her eyes lit up when we placed the spoon back in her eager hands. She fell asleep hugging it on the way home.
