The Last of the Summer Pictures

I know, I know, it's already Fall, but I haven't been very good at updating the blog pictures so I thought I'd throw in some more Summer pictures before I started with Fall. If you have Facebook, then you can check out the new Fall pictures that I just posted there today. Here's some more pictures from the Summer that haven't even made it to Facebook yet!

The three amigos.. Taylor, Dylan, and Teddy.

Teddy and Dylan rockin' out with their cloth diapers in the lake.

Awesome action shot of Teddy at Weber's.

Taylor chills in the lake.

Don't worry, we're not naked, we have diapers on! This was at a splash park in Toronto.

Here we are splashing... well, walking and getting splashed by the bigger kids.

Taylor loved to hang out in Sheryl's "pocket".

Papa Lou reads Taylor a story.

This picture was taken during the dancing video in the previous post.

Dance Party USA! Er, I mean CANADA!

That's our cousin Dylan dancing with us at the cottage this summer. We had so much fun playing with him almost every day! Oh, and if you're wondering how mommy did in that gDiapers contest, she came in third! Someone else came from behind and zoomed all the way past her. But that's OK, because she still won a $200 gift certificate and we got some really cute new diapers.

Updated Pics & a Plea for help!

I have some cottage pics to post, but first I have some potentially exciting news. I entered a gDiapers contest last month that I actually have a chance at winning!!! (Update: I came in third and won a $200 gift certificate!! wahoo!!) I was winning last week but someone just passed me, so I need to increase my "sales". Each person in the contest has a unique discount code and I get credit for every time someone uses my code. So far, 114 people have used my code! The first place person has 133 (5 days ago I was beating her).

gDiapers are an eco-friendly alternative to disposable diapers that are kind of a cloth diaper, disposable diaper hybrid. They consist of an outer cotton cover, a snap in waterproof nylon liner, and biodegradable inserts that can actually be flushed down a toilet! It really is a fabulous invention. You can also use them with cloth inserts (that's what I do) if you are into cloth diapering (I highly recommend it!).

(Contest details deleted as the contest is now over.)

I guess I'll start with this super cute picture of Teddy in an orange gDiaper:

A diva in the sand...

Daddy takes Teddy for a walk on the dock. I love this one.

Teddy has been eating his spinach!

Teddy & Taylor are now TWO!!

Two years ago today (I'm writing this after midnight, so technically yesterday I guess) the two most wonderful little people were born into this world. Happy Birthday, sweet babies... I guess you aren't my babies anymore :(

Here's a little video of Taylor counting to three for the first time. That's right, the first time caught on video! She usually only makes it to two, so that's what I was expecting when I started the video. I've watched this about a hundred times because I'm just so proud of her!!!

Taylor's speech is further along than Teddy's speech, but he's making lots of progress. His favorite word these days is "cookie" and he loves to eat them too. Of course our "cookies" are really organic animal crackers. So don't worry, I don't let my kids chow down on Oreos all day ;)

We had a birthday party on Sunday. It was tons of fun and the weather was PERFECT for an outdoor party. We just got a new fence for our backyard and put up a gazebo to house our new patio furniture and create some shade. It also has mosquito netting so we can relax on the patio at night. We haven't actually done this yet, but I like the idea! Here's some pictures from the party. There's more on my Facebook page.

Teddy and Taylor helped put the gazebo together.

Taylor wore these sunglasses almost the entire time.

Chilling by the pool.

Cake!

Teddy was obsessed with the rocks in our backyard.

Playing with our "boons".

Nagymama Latagotasa!

Victor's mom (Nagymama is how they say "grandmother" in Hungarian) came to visit us in NJ for the first time. The babies were very excited to see her and we had lots of fun! Here's Teddy showing Nagymama one of his favorite books.

We took Nagymama to one of Jersey's most popular national monuments.... the mall. While Teddy was sleeping, Taylor spotted the Carousel and just HAD to go for a ride. She was smiling the entire time.

When Taylor says "cheese" for the camera she tends to squint her eyes up like this:

So after this picture I asked her to keep her eyes open and we got this shot:

Taylor really liked Nagymama's necklace with the pretty beads.

Nagymama brought them some really cute clothes. Taylor is modeling one of her new outfits in the picture above, and here's Teddy in on of his new outfits:

After Nagymama left, Teddy was so wiped out from all the fun that he passed out on his chair.

May Update & Pictures

Both twins are saying more and more every day! A couple weeks ago, Teddy finally learned how to say "no". At first it sounded like "DOH!" but he's getting the hang of it. Taylor has more words than I can count. Taylor's favorite word (and food) is "apple". Teddy's favorite word (and food) is "cheese". Although when he says "cheese" it's usually because there is a camera in his face. Check out the latest pictures.

Like father, like daughter:

Taylor wearing mommy's first diaper (that's the first diaper I made). I started switching over to cloth diapers a few weeks ago. It's so fun and easy. I really wish I had done it sooner! I even set up a separate blog to chronicle my diaper journey. Check it out.

Playing with the Thomas trains at Barnes & Noble.

Mommy and Daddy do a double diaper change (we're still in disposable diapers sometimes, like overnight and if we are going to be out for awhile).

Cheeeeeese! Our little musical prodigy.

We got some new patio furniture that is temporarily living in the living room / play room until we have our back yard set up. We're getting a fence to toddler proof the backyard. The new loveseat was a big hit!

Bubbe taught us how to do downward dog. Check out our fluffy butts. Taylor is modeling a one-size pink Bum Genius 3.0 and Teddy is sporting a medium blue FuzziBunz.

Standard crib shot. Bubbe likes to take one of these every time she visits.

A Day in the Life...

Most days we spend a lot of time hanging out in our playroom (translation: mommy and daddy's unfurnished living room). We have a wicked awesome time running around and throwing all our toys over the gate. In this video clip, Bubbe is talking to Taylor on the phone. You can hear Bubbe because she's on speaker phone. Meanwhile, Teddy is walking around being his cute adorable self. Watch Taylor demonstrate her advanced knowledge of anatomy.

Spring is here!

I realize that not everyone has Facebook, so here are the pics that I put up on Facebook a few weeks ago. Enjoy!

Here are the Ts practicing for their America's Got Talent audition.
